Liala Zaray is always at risk of being labeled a dilettante. She holds an MFA from St. Mary’s College of California and is an incoming first year medical student. She has won poetry prizes from Palette Poetry, Smartish Pace, and Tinderbox Poetry. Her work has received support from VCCA and Risk Press. Liala is currently working on her first collection of poems.
